I would enjoy this a lot more if it wasn’t for the constant fat-shaming of the gross, unpleasant, comic relief third main character. He’s fat! And disgusting! And obsesses over food! And is naked sometimes!!!! It’s incredibly off putting, and I’m really disappointed because I loved Bartimaeus.
