Page #605 Large Print Text:"It's ridiculous to think that shooting our enemies is a nobler or more effective part of the fight than decrypting their battle plans. We might fight with paper &pencil, but that doesn't make it less of a fight".

You will hope, you will laugh, you will cry happy & sad tears but most of all you will only be getting a glimpse of what WW11 looked and felt like for a few main fictional characters during the war in England. learned new historical information about Enigmas used in many different languages by our enemies & I assume ourselves, English language (being Canadian with Great Britian heritage).

A real turn pager! I can hardly put the book down. I am enjoying the mysery as it unfolds. I am understanding a bit of how the war affected the code breaks which is similar to other people trying to fight the war too. Kate Quinn is an excellent writer. I am learning a lot from her novel as she has researched it. I know its a work of fiction but its really good!

I am learning so much about Code Breakers, how intelligent people were used during a war that from the outside looked like the armies did all the fighting & finding the best places to intercept the enemies is not true. The truth is that the Code Breakers did the real work of translating important information that helped us win the war but all the glory went to the men in the armies.

I can not put this novel down! Except I have to work & prier engagements. It is amazing novel by Kate Quinn. It was one of the novrls on last year's book club at my library. I find WW11 historical novels fascinating. This one reads like a movie! I love seeing movies in my mind as I read.

I am enjoying this new series! This novel reminds me of Enola Holmes. My daughter loves the movies on Netflix. Personally the main character Lady Katherine in this novel exceeds Enola. I think she is smarter & more resourceful and I like her much better.

This is the 3rd novel in the Eva Gates, A Lighthouse Library Myseries set on the Outer Banks of North Carolina. I have never been to either place but I would love too. The way the author describes the ocean inlet is breathtaking! I love the Library cat, Charles! The mannerisms remind me of my own cat. The mystery is a bit complicated. Not sure what I think yet.

I love the dog, the main character calls a "frenchie"! He an adorable dog named Oliver who is afraid of anything with wings! Lol! So far he is a main character in this mysery. I think he will find the killer!

Isabella Allan is a new mystery author I have discovered. An Amish Quilt Shop series, is very interesting so far. The main character's aunt married into the Amish community in Ohio & the she grew up in this community. Her family moved to Texas in her teen years & now she has returned to run her aunt's shop. But the lawyer can't find the deed that the store is hers & not some cranky Amish man's property!

I am enjoying this new series as I learn about the fascinating world of bees. An awkward main character who relates better with her bee hives and love of nature has drawn my attention to this mystery series.

Well I must say I had my doubts in the beginning of this novel because I couldn't connect to the characters as I didn't know enough about them. The story was moving quickly. I'm excited to say that all the pieces began to fall together as the story progressed. An excellent exciting new series with lots of twists & turns!
