Still one of my favorite books, but the reader's voice is just so whiny. Don't think I'll be looking up anything by Hope Davis for a while.

Listening to the audio book, got through disc 4 today—as we go through the day leading up to the shooting, O'Reilly is making a lot of references to the trial and crucifixion of Christ. While I recognize the coincidental parallels of Lincoln being shot on Good Friday, every time it's mentioned, I'm hearing O'Reilly say, "And in my next book…"

Because, yeah, I didn't really want to sleep tonight. Did wake my husband out of a fairly sound sleep by my shrieking squawks about 20 pages from the end. I am left in awe.

If Sanderson has to be such a good writer, why can't he write shorter things? This whole "it takes days to get a book read" is CRAP.

CAN. NOT. STOP. Damn that man.

Ahhhhh. Mmmmph! Arghh! SO MUCH STUFF!

Yes, I know he's got a new one out, BUT HAVE YOU SEEN THE SIZE OF IT? That's going to flare my carpal tunnel just looking at it.

"I was tempted to go the Full Caballo and chuck my running shoes for a pair of sandals, but Eric warned me that I was cruising for a stress fracture if I tried to suddenly go naked after keeping my feet immobilized for forty years." gawd, I hope that's not what I did.

Certainly inspiring, made only more and more frustrating by the fact that I've currently got and ankle wrapped, so I can't just give in to the urge to jump up and run around my block. Maybe next week. Sigh.

Good so far--lost an hour while reading.

At first I was a little ashamed of how long it's taken me to reread this book--I mean, I started in October. Then it occurred to me that I've only been reading it in doctors' offices and hospitals. Now I'm a little irritated that I'm as far along as I am.

Really need to finish today—oh, to find the time before the library closes!

Finished my 2011 reading challenge, with only 2.5 hours to go! Yay, me!

I don't know why, but there is something about this book that just keeps niggling at me. I feel like I've read it before, but it was only published in 2005; if I'd read it that recently, surely I should remember more of it.
