This story deals with some difficult topics, which is fine, however, I really dislike some of the characters.

Sarah's husband and father are both obnoxious turds, but the Bishop is a cool dude.

DNF at page 77 - I've had enough of this series.

I also don't like Ash and Charlotte's romance. I don't mind that they are having one; I think that is great. I don't like the trampy behaviour and sleazy 'inside jokes'.

There are far TOO MANY characters in this book. It's like the author threw all the names of previous acquaintances / foes, etc., into a salad spinner and spit them all out onto one ship. It's convoluted and confusing.

I do appreciate that so far, I haven't seem references to Charlotte's 'maximum chins' - I was SO TIRED of that. I am also tired of descriptions of how much crap she eats.

I may skim the rest.

I'm finding this book drags on.

But, finally that vindictive, manipulative a-hole Henry has died. Now I wish the vindictive, manipulative a-hole John would follow soon. Alas, I know that's not the case.

I will skim the rest of the book, in case something actually happens to Eleanor.

This book is kind of slow. I'll stick with it a while longer, and see if it improves.

This book is only okay - not up to the par of the earlier ones. The characters are blah, and I am so sick of that stupid old cow Lillian and her bitchy ways.

The heroine, Francesca, is extremely annoying, with her going on and on and on and on about her feelings for her (ex)fiance.

I don't know. I'm still in the prologue, but having trouble getting past the cover photo of that stupid cat, LYING on the food table!

I'm about 2/3 done, and while I am enjoying the story, I have long been over Fiona. I'd like to have punched her out right after the robbery.

I am sure this book could be a lot shorter, if only they didn't constantly repeat all the stuff about signing and interpreting. Also, we don't need to hear Dani and Diesel thinking about their non-relationship Every.Single.Time. they come into the picture.

And, did you ever see so many abused children/adults as children in one space, other than a support group?

It's not just this book, but why don't authors write in complete sentences anymore?

It's so annoying!

I know that education levels in the US have gone downhill, badly, but most published authors should be well past that stage!

I am enjoying this book; it's a nice, gentle portrayal of family and life in times past.

That said, it does drag somewhat. While I'm not expecting James Patterson action, it's just too long.

I was ready to quit this at about pg 45. I can't stand all the stupid 'dog mommy and baby' crap. I read these because Addie DOES NOT have a pet!
