So good, I like this series!

Didn't realize this would be a televisa presenta romance first and preparing for a bit battle second. But fine. That's why it's taking so long for me to finish it. Hope Renna dies, she's annoying af and stupid, Arlen became an idiot with her. Krasians are questionable as always but at least consistent in their decisions and actions.

So far I'm not impressed with how the story's going. It's very slow and I cannot stand Renna.

Listening to Half-Blood Prince is flying by so quickly. Maybe it's because I didn't have that much time to listen to The Order of the Phoenix so it took me a month to get through it. But this, this one is so interesting. Perhaps it has to do with discovering much of what was hidden in the previous books...

Jardir is such an infuriating character but I think it shows how actually well written this book is that despite that I still want to read it. The story just kind of grabs you and doesn't let go and I think the writer put so much of our world's problems in the novel and it seems that really riles some people up, when they see real life problems written so plainly in the book, haha. Funny.

Wow, I have forgotten so much of this. It's unbelievable how infuriating Umbridge is. She's a vile little woman whom I utterly despise.
But other than that, barely past the halfway mark and there's so much that's happened and what yet to happen.
So far this book is the darkest.

I stand firm on my opinion of Jardir as a indoctrinated idiot with a god complex. If it weren't for Inevera he would be doomed, alas I must put up with him as he and his followers justify every horrible thing they do. I mean, it's an excellent example of religious indoctrination and why we shouldn't let religion take over...

Like reading about Arlen and what would be his first solo trip, and the longest one at that. Intrigued to see how his expedition to the village of Baha will turn out.

Finished Section I - so far I like it. I find it interesting, doesn't drag and I'm interested to find out what happens next.
Some people have a problem saying that it's misogynistic but I'd argue that you can find that in a lot of adult fantasy. I can see where they're coming from but it also seems that there's more to it. Remains to be seen 🤷‍♀️.

What a weird fuckin' book.

All in all, I like it but the pacing seems somewhat strange. How the story flows from one scene to another, feels a bit like watching a TV show..

Listening to the audiobook, started after I finished The Hobbit audiobook. The narrator's really good.

I was realy looking forward to this but in the past 140 pages almost nothing of note happened. Elm is attracted to Ione now, beacuse...what? You want romance? It just doesn't fit the tone of the book. I hope that in a hunder pages this is going to make sense, otherwise the first 150 pages of this book was 'Elm has the hots for Ione, when they gonna fuck' and that is just fucking ridiculous.

As far as YA trilogies go, I like this one. But Alina and Lantsov is such a fucking stretch... I don't understand it. For the sake kf having an imaginary 'love triangle'. The purported purpose of this really does not hold its own. It makes some parts of the book annoying to read, not tense. If it had more Darkling that would be tense.

Vasja, ti glupo glupo stvorenje: 'nisam ničija robinja', a malo prije određeni čovjek točno to traži od tebe u zamjenu za navodni spas tvojih voljenih...
Ove knjige imaju naviku jako me razljutiti pred sam kraj. S druge strane, sva sreća da je uskoro kraj knjige jer ne bi mogla još puno čitati o njezinim glupim odlukama.

I'm loving it but the reason I'm reading it so slowly is Baldur's Gate 3. :)

Bolja nego kad sam ju prvi put krenula čitati. Oni jako YA dijelovi se još ističu no nisu tako naglašeni kako su mi bili prošli put, vjerojatno zato jer nisam tijekom prijašnje 2 knjige bila tako bombardirana tim elementima pa me nisu smetali.
(Kad sam ju 1. put čitala, čitala sam knjigu za knjigom: Truthwitch, Windwitch pa Bloodwitch.)
