If it weren't for Inevera he would be doomed, alas I must put up with him as he and his followers justify every horrible thing they do. Jardir is such an infuriating character but I think it shows how actually well written this book is that despite that I still want to read it. The story just kind of grabs you and doesn't let go and I think the writer put so much of our world's problems in the novel and it seems that really riles some people up, when they see real life problems written so plainly in the book, haha. Funny.
