Just finished the chapter on baseball predictions. Moneyball and whatnot. Now on the weather predictions.

So far, very interesting. Right up my alley.

Silicon Alley - gin, vanilla ice cream, lime juice, ice. Blend to frothiness. Serve in hi-ball glass. It's like drinking a key lime pie.

Inspired to read this again by Willy Hampton. On the Book of Water. In think this is a good book to read in conjunction with Sun Tsu's Art of War.

Still slowly plugging away at this book. This poor bear. I think he's about to mess some stuff up.

2013 Hahn Bathroom Reader #2. The third book in this series. Modern Culture, here I come.

2013 Hahn Bathroom Reader #1. This Book of Days was printed the year I was born. Should be interesting. It looks very old fashioned in design.

Just as engrossing as The Passage. Everyone keeps telling me its gets better but I think its great already.

We are on the "Love Canal" entry. Finally made it to the 1970's. Only 17 more pages to go.

A brilliant read so far. I can't put it down.

Harry S Truman - The S stands for nothing in particular. Also, last president elected who did not graduate from college.

On the Vienna sausage affair. So far, quite witty.

Susan B. Anthony - her father was outcast from their local Quaker church for allowing dancing in his house. Knowing is half the battle.

Now in the city. 5 years later. What the hell is going on in this book.

Still dreamy, mysterious, and not entirely cheery. Reading Sandman is like a delicacy that must be savored patiently.

Finally getting to the late 1800's.

Very slow progress. I am starting to ask myself more frequently "Where is he going with this?"

Pet for August - garden snake. Likes to eat frogs.

A very sad memoir that also happens to involve hiking. Very funny at points.

So far, same hilarious Chabon.

Funny. A great chapter on having twins.

Strangely fascinating so far.

I really want to dislike this woman's parenting style but some of her points are hard to refute. If anything, it is quite clear that Amy Chau is poking fun at herself. The book is expertly written and quite funny. I am glad that we are reading it.

Two tons of empathy!
