Oof this is a rough one.

It's so exciting to be reading a book that I'm actually enjoying.

I feel like I was lied to by the book summary.

In a world where AI systems can read your mind, fax machines still exist, and what's more surprising is people use them.

I don't know if I relate desperately, or if I hate the author's character, or both.

"Clare lifted a hand to her breast, finding comfort in its familiarity, it's reality, in the way it had tightened in the cold air before dawn." Wow, never had my breasts tightened in the cold, nor do they ground me in reality. Moments in this book are very men writing women, "she breasted boobily down the stairs"

Guess I'm finishing it. Eh.

I want to DNF so hard. This is my 3rd time starting it. I think I'm just not vibing with the writing. Everyone speaks like they're in a novel, and not in a good way. The prose is overwrought, also not in a good way.
