I’m only about 1/3 of the way througlh this book, the second of Mr Backman’s I’ve read. The first was Brit-Marie was Here. I really enjoyed that one; but this book is not very engaging to me. Is it because I’m not into sports? Somehow I don’t think so… I understand the dynamics of the male social bonding and the inverse- although thus far it doesn’t seem to have Lord of the Flies overtones.

What an interesting book! I had no idea it would turn out to be historical fiction. I’m really enjoying it.

I decided not to finish when I discovered this wasn’t a biography but a fictionalized work. Not what I’m interested in- I only want actual, fact-based biographies.

The only one of Ms. Hilderbrand’s books I didn’t finish.
