This is starting kinda of slow. Hanging on solely based on reviews that say it’s the best book of the year and Julia Whalen narration:

Ok I went into this completely blind, I was just looking for something light and I remember this was popular last summer (and has a great cover! I’m always judging 🤣🤷🏻‍♀️) This is not AT ALL what I expected and it’s great so far.

I can already tell this is going to be ridiculous. I think in a good way though 🤷🏻‍♀️

Why is March the world’s worst reading slump!?!?!?

All I want to do is ignore my responsibilities to read this…and yet life is incredible busy this month. A travesty! This is so well written and immersive.

Started this yesterday laying in bed feeling so rotten. I am not a person who can read a lot when they feel sick but this narrator is SO EXCELLENT and something about this having that backbone of being a fairy tale retelling was oddly comforting. Really enjoying this so far.

I’m struggling to get into this. Right now it just feels like a lot of random information about people I don’t care about yet. I’m doing it on audio…maybe it’s better in print? Almost a third is the way and don’t really care to follow anyone onto what happens next. Guess I’ll decide this weekend if I should DNF. I was really looking forward to this one though :(

I have started and put down 5 different books this week. At this point I just need something I can finish. Ugh.
