I'm listening to the new full cast audiobook, and I love it!

Jewell knows how to write disturbing characters. The male main character is revolting, making it difficult to listen to as quickly as some other novels. It’s good though.

I’m finally invested.

Reading for a book club. I'm having a hard time getting into this one.

The biggest mystery so far is how this couple has been together for two years.

I don't know if I'd call this a "light" read. I'm sad.

It's fine. Just another knife stab. It's cool.

It has very little competition because I’ve been in a reading rut, but this is currently in the running for one of my favorite books of the year.

Libby alerted me that the audiobook was available, and when I started listening, I realized that Julia Whelan is the narrator. At this point, listening to a book narrated by Julia Whelan feels like listening to a friend.

3/4 of the way done…aka that point when the main character makes terrible choices, and even though I know the outcome, I am stressed and unnecessarily uncomfortable

I’m continuing my Postpartum Audiobook Era. Currently The Measure is the “I know when I’m going to die” book to beat.

My more “literary” books are on pause in this fun postpartum stage.

This is a very good book, but I'm pregnant, and the drownings make me sad, so I'm pausing it for a while. (I can somehow still manage suspense/thrillers ... that don't involve dead kids.)
