Skipping book 2 - not interested in the topic.

At the start too much overlap with book 1, just from a different point of view.
Way too much page time for the child. Why is there always a little brother, baby nephew or (that's the worst) own kid involved?
And sure, you have an epileptic little brother but plan to "hunker down" in Chicago for the winter. That's what you do, right?
And where is the little brother when Issac is turning tricks?

Wow, the heroine is a complete disaster. She has no pride, lacks self-esteem in a big way and doesn't mind to apply a double standard when it comes in handy. She won't be Smoke's sex toy, claims to love her cheating ex, but then has no qualms to use Smoke as HER sex toy while planning to win Edward back. Jesus, how fucked up is that woman?

I already noticed with "Like a Lover" I don't like the "transaction" kind of theme. Throw a virgin on top of that and it's a DNF.

DNF at 50%. Couldn't connect to the characters at all. Boring!

Dont't like the overall feel. DNF at 27%.
