Levi is picking up one of SoS's bad habits: Compartmentalization, i.e. separating unrestrained violence from calculated. Looks like SoS's attempt to breed a kindred spirit is right on track.

Eroch is very silly, and very cute so far. :)

Interesting premise. Relatively complex main characters. Enjoyable so far. :)

Typical John Geary fare so far. The man is like Hamlet, if he won the duel and became King: constant self-doubt and victory rolled into one.

So far, on the plot side: numerous and well-done alternate world building blocks, a gratuitous battle scene, and a mysterious yet evil organization with an evil agenda that is discovered off camera. On the character side: nerd Mage with parental conflict and fear of losing control issues, matched up with a badass military covert ops assassin who can't keep his mouth shut about his secret mission.

Oooooooo-Kay. I was expecting dark and demonic horror. A goofy bizzaro-land romance between a demon and a damned enby fashionista vampire slayer was...unexpected. We shall see where the rest of this anthology leads, shall we?
