All i do when reading this book is smile. Why is it so good?!?

The way people talk/act in the first chapter of this book is wild. At first I was like “no one talks like this” but then i realized people do/say dumb shit like this ALL the time we just don’t catch it in the moment. I have high expectations!

This book is kind of a whirlwind

Enjoying it but this book has put me into a huge reading slump… it’s so dense and feels like its 2000 pages long.

You know what i think this book is winning me over! Still have no fucking clue where it’s heading but i am invested!

The writing isn’t the greatest but i am tentatively intrigued by this plot…

Very spoopy

At first I was like yo, Dev is kind of an asshole but then plot. I was pleasantly surprised how the book reveals his ex’s perspective as a learning moment, I thought that was really clever!

It’s going ok… i’m not loving it yet?

Um i’m SUPER into this

I'm slowly getting into it. The dialogue though... at one point the main character (a girl in her 20s I think?) is chasing after someone and yells "Stop, stop I say!" ...........

Hmm… this is actually kinda bad. I’m not a fan of the writing, and why does the American character pause to tell us, the reader, what British words mean? You seriously think a reader can’t naturally guess the meaning of “fit” or “mate”? Is this is a joke?

This author really likes to explain actions: “I slurped my beer to lower the level.” Ok…

It’s about time for a 5 star… plz

Not the author writing scenes to try an make a reader feel sympathetic towards incest… gross. Clary needs two new backbones; one to keep her hands off of Jace and one to not use Simon to kill time when she clearly doesn’t like him more than a friend. Isabelle, Alec, Magnus, Luke… thank god for good side characters.

Here we gooooo… Can’t wait for what I’m sure will be more heterosexual love triangle nonsense but I must persevere for that sweet upcoming alec/magnus relationship development

The second half of this book is pretty frustrating ngl

I take it back, this love triangle is dumb and Clary is dumb and they all should feel bad about how dumb they all are
