Could this be even better than Society? So far I am thoroughly enjoying her writing.

I’m finding this hard to get through. The characters are boring, the story is meandering and the constant repetitive internal thoughts of the very insecure FMC is very tiring. At 20% in and I’m only reading the dialog because I just want to get on with it but might just return it to the library as a DNF.

This book is a bit of a slog, glad I’m listening to it or I might have DNFd it if I had to read it. It’s a lot of war and politics and traveling and kind of repetitive.

I’m only half way through but so far I haaaaate this FMC, I’m really hoping she grows a backbone…

I’m an hour in… PLEASE TELL ME THIS WOMAN REALISES HER PROBLEM IS SHE DIDNT STABD UP FOR HERSELF!? Please tell me this isn’t a story about a woman who feels sorry for herself?

This is a really long book that switches between two separate stories and feels like you’re reading two similar books at the same time. No sign of if these two stories converge. So far a 3.5 book for me, not sure why everyone has been raving about it?

Ok, gave it a chance and I am getting into it. Still wish I’d waited til point season to read it tho!

Struggling to pick this up as I should have left it til spooky season vibes, but it’s a library book so I feel I have to read it, even tho it’s the middle of summer!

Not sure about this one. So far she is a psycho ex girlfriend/pick me and I haaaaaaate women like that - and I cant see how this gets any better. This is going All Fours and My Year of Rest and Relaxation vibes and I hated both those books...

I’m only 6% in and I can tell this was written by someone who did an MFA, don’t ask me how.

Third attempt at reading Didion and yet another book that I just don’t feel like picking up to continue…
