Listening, but putting it on hold for another time ... Feeling a bit too YA/political for my current mood.

I loved Hunger Games and enjoyed Red Queen. This felt like a mash-up from what I read, but i just couldn't get past 100pages. The writing felt so clunky and full of unnecessary adjectives. I didn't need every single noun described.... "Smooth stone, passing a large fountain residing in the center with white statues." "Cushioned perch..warm sunlight .. cramped coach." Blah. Also not into enemies to lovers troupe. Blah
