So beautifully, humorously, and vividly written. I adore this book.

How can a book with a narrator so vivid and colorful be sometimes so incredibly boring? Like nothing is happening. It's annoying.

I didn't really care for Sutter's life story all that much. But now that Aimee's here, their dynamic is incredibly interesting.

Page 70 and we're finally meeting Aimee. Unbelievably slow time at meeting the second main character.

I'm 53 pages in and I still don't have a clue what the damn plot is. You should know what the story is going to roughly be about by AT LEAST 20 pages otherwise you risk losing audiences. C'mon, Tharp. Show me what you got!

You have to have some serious perspective when reading Sutter's voice. Steeped in denial and some deep seeded emotional issues.

I feel like there is this beautifully simplistic story about life and love and John Green is trying to see how fast he can run through it all.

The part with Van Houten is the only scene so far that is well-rounded and not interrupted by a stupid page break. This allows us to be sucked in and fully focused.

I love page breaks as much as the next person. I love being able to find a place to stop in the middle of the chapter that isn't in the middle of a paragraph. So thank you! But John Green, having them every other page, isn't that a little bit.... excessive? The narrative is constantly being interrupted!! You're driving me more crazy than an author who NEVER has them.

I love the dialogue of this book. Even if at times it feels on the surface.

What I love so far about this book is how humorous it is. And not just the dialogue, but the description and Hazel's voice herself. Something the movie could never capture.

My head hurts...

This just keeps getting better and better.
