I feel like there is this beautifully simplistic story about life and love and John Green is trying to see how fast he can run through it all.

The part with Van Houten is the only scene so far that is well-rounded and not interrupted by a stupid page break. This allows us to be sucked in and fully focused.

I love page breaks as much as the next person. I love being able to find a place to stop in the middle of the chapter that isn't in the middle of a paragraph. So thank you! But John Green, having them every other page, isn't that a little bit.... excessive? The narrative is constantly being interrupted!! You're driving me more crazy than an author who NEVER has them.

I love the dialogue of this book. Even if at times it feels on the surface.

What I love so far about this book is how humorous it is. And not just the dialogue, but the description and Hazel's voice herself. Something the movie could never capture.
