I don't think this one works for me, unfortunately. I'll call it a soft dnf and skim the rest of the book. It's slow, too wordy and my guess is that the MMC seems to suffer from a split personality, one moment he shows violent tentencies, but then something soft "shines through"? It just seems unhinged, not like growth.
