Why would an elite operative fail to sweep for bugs or check for tracking devices?🤔

This is a tad to over the top giddy/beefcake/flibbertigibbet for me but i want to know how and why so i’ll finish this one.

SILENCED HEARTS-This chapter of the e-book has no proper beginning nor a proper ending. Some sort of editing glitch.

Did not finish. Found the book plodding and far too depressing.

This is an extremely detailed chronicle of an infamous Australian murder-for-hire case, for which the co-conspirators are serving life terms.

And I've already read a precise description of the streets near my old job, on Golden Shore off of Ocean! This is gonna be fun!

This is extremely graphic so far, more than I am accustomed to reading. Euuu. Euuu.

Almost 3/4 through; really, kindle location 1963, "...running a little too fat"? "...running a little TO fat"? Or am I being ignorant of British word usage????

I just finished The Final Formula: An Urban Fantasy Novel (The Final Formula Series, Book 1) and gave it 4 stars. Different. Interesting. Looking forward to more by this author.

I just finished The Arrangements- A Cozy Mystery Box Set: The Flower Shop Mystery Series (Books 1-3) and gave it 3 stars. Too much single-female angst for me, but well written if the "cozy" genre is your thing.

I just finished Dead Sober: A New York Mystery; Bruce Kohler #1 (Bruce Kohler Series) and gave it 3 stars. Well written, well developed, distinct characters, although the protagonist was not my cup of tea. Nice twist at the end.

I just finished Dead in the Water (A Cal Murphy Thriller Book 4) and gave it 3 stars. The story was taut and engrossing; three stars because I didn't LIKE the subject matter. No quibbles about the writer. Will read more by this author.
