This book has me all twisted up. I love it, and I'm haunted by it and the way Vanessa is being groomed and abused and she doesn't even realize it. It's so eerily familiar in so many ways that I wish I couldn't relate to, and heartbreaking, yet the story is oddly beautiful in ways as well? Hence the twisted up feeling.

I swear if he’s the one, I’m going to be mad. But if he’s not the one, I’m also going to be mad. 😅

I started this last night, it's already captured my heart!

I’m enjoying it, but I’m torn on the parents lack of emotion regarding their daughter’s disappearance. I understand that they’re in law enforcement and work in homicide but come on. The lack of emotion, and the off handed comments about Halloween candy in the store like life is just normal with hints of disruption are bizarre to me. I might understand it more when I finish the book! Maybe there’s a reason.

After reading some really phenomenal books this year, I am finding myself having a really difficult time finding one to read right now that will hold my interest. If you have any recommendations, please send them my way!

I'll be finishing this tonight, because you guys...1. it's great and I want to see how this plays out badly! And 2. ...Netgalley and St. Martin's Press sent me the ARC of Bright Lights, Big Christmas by Mary Kay Andrews (out later this month on the 26th!) and EVERYONE that knows me know that I literally count down the days for her books! So I'll be devouring that the moment I finish this!

How has it taken me this long to pick this book up and begin to read it? I honestly think it was fear of not enjoying it as much as I had hoped that I would...but it's been such an enjoyable read so far, and I am so happy that I started it!

What a gem reading this is! Lucy has always been a staple in my life, I'm reminded of mornings coming down the stairs as a little girl, still half asleep to climb into my mom's lap as she drank her coffee and watched I Love Lucy in our big cuddler chair. Reading this feels like a hug from Lucy herself!

Veronica Henry continues to capture my mind and heart in her novels, and this one is no different. I am always transported into their settings and into the lives of the family, as if I'm one of them. The characters are so relatable and I absolutely cherish that in her novels.

This book already has my heart!

It's almost time for Hallmark's Christmas in July. I'm, admittedly, a Hallmark Christmas movie junkie, and I'm thinking of dedicating this July to knocking out some holiday books in conjunction with my Christmas in July movies. I can't be the only one...or am I? LOL

I’m conflicted on how I feel about it so far. I like it enough to see it through. We’ll see!

I never want this book to end...literally. I wake up thinking about this book. I go to sleep thinking about this book, and I can't wait to pick it back up all the moments in between, yet simultaneously get scared knowing it's coming to an end soon!

How, oh, how do I make this book never end? I am falling in love with these characters and I don't know what I'll do without sweet Frank and Libby in my life when this ends! I want to read through and see how this ends, but I simultaneously don't want this to finish!

This book has me pulled right in! It’s so good so far! I can’t wait to see what happens.
