I’m enjoying it, but I’m torn on the parents lack of emotion regarding their daughter’s disappearance. I understand that they’re in law enforcement and work in homicide but come on. The lack of emotion, and the off handed comments about Halloween candy in the store like life is just normal with hints of disruption are bizarre to me. I might understand it more when I finish the book! Maybe there’s a reason.
