I gotta level with you - um ehrlich zu sein - ich bin lost somewhere. It is brutaly hard to distinguish between characters, places and narrative time.
Don't get me wrong, I really do enjoy it, especially the funny - lustigen - parts, as far as I can get and identify them.
I get the impression of being trapped in a demented mind, sometimes clearly but often, mostly, meistens just lost in a limbo. it's great? perhaps.

Well, so far so good?
I’m now through the first two chapters, which, I havta level witchu, I did not know even existed, until I came to the end of the first 200 pages.
It’s quite funny to, as being a German, reading these very accurate and thoroughly funny german lines the author puts, like Nabokov in Lolita, all through these pages, pointiert (on point) paired with an arsefull of rocketscientific phrases.

in my now first year of film class, this book is like the bible of film-analysation, It's simple, it's widely known and appreciated and always on point! it's a great read and helps to understand the basic elements of almost every movie!
