One of my absolute favorite books from childhood. Now I'm re-reading it with my 8 year old little girl. I can't wait to see this wonderful book through my daughter's eyes.

I can't really describe how much I love this book so far, it has such a wonderful rythm and balance to it. I really appreciate how the author introduces the characters so that the reader slowly understands who they are. The story unfolds in a really intriguing and compelling way, with multiple layers and an underlying build up of tension. I have a hard time putting this book down.

To be 100% honest this is not my usual read. I'm not a big fan of modern action books. I have nothing against them, just not my cup of tea so to speak. I'm reading this because I am doing a book challenge and I need to read a bestseller from 2016 and this book was on my husband's shelf. So far it is a page turner, but it just seems shallow, not a lot of development or depth.

I'm reading the first book of the series third. I don't think it will matter in the long run.

I'm in the mood to revisit books I read as a kid.

I'm really excited to read this book. I love the movie and the original book.

I'm really frustrated with a mistake in the timeline.
