NO WAY! WTF!

This is not a funny book. This is quite dark and serious. But every sentence on the last two pages was a banger (There’s even a pun here) and I can‘t stop laughing. Hilarious!

How about no? Just no. Nope.

My heart can‘t take this anymore. This better has an epic happy end to make up for all the emotional damage.

I haven't bought and started a book on release day for a very long time.
I waited SO long for this book and am already giggling and kicking my feet.
This is a very underrated series.

I am only 17% into the (audio)book and this might already be an all time favourite. Holy shit the beginning had my jaw on the floor. Masterclass in setting the tone and vibe. Already in despair because it‘s so short.
(It is painful to listen to and try to understand the awful pronunciations of the Polish words and sentences, though. I wish I had a physical copy. 🙈)

Lady Trent discovered something in book 2. I knew exactly what it was but she didn‘t. But it was hinted that it will be important in the future. And now it‘s picked up again and she realises what she found and it‘s so satisfying to see these little details carrying over from book to book. 🥺

I‘ve missed these characters. SO happy to be back.

I finished the Shadow part. Or did it finish me? It is a more challenging read than I anticipated but it tingles my brain in a very stimulating way. I love the atmosphere and world building. I LOVE the way Gene Wolfe plays with language. But with English not being my native language it‘s double the difficulty level. I am very proud that I have figured out some things. But also missed 99 others. XD

Rereading for a bookclub and the movie.

This took an UNEXPECTED turn.
Not complaining, quite the opposite. But woah, that came out of nowhere! Cool. Cool cool cool.

Are you KIDDING me?!?! A second time? Now I‘m angry!!!

That’s the second time I held my breath for an entire chapter!

I have to stop for today because of the symbol at the beginning of chapter 51. I almost screamed.

When your brain finally realises they chose an ancient Egyptian symbol because the setting is inspired by antient Egypt. As if desert, pyramids and scarab amulets weren‘t clear giveaways from the start.

I think I forgot how to breathe the entire chapter. Do I… do I like racing plots in my stories? (Flashbacks of Star Wars Episode 1)

I think I figured out what is going on. Holy shit! If I‘m right this is brilliant and another major plot twist. 🤯

Followed by 2 even bigger plot twist I was not expecting. And now I want to start a reread right away! Wtf!

I'm obsessed with this book. It's really hard to stop reading.

WTF?!?! But he… But … what?!?! A lot makes so much sense. But why did he do the thing at the beginning?

How am I only halfway through the book? What the hell is going to happen in the second half. This is the most unpredictable fantasy book I‘ve read in ages. I am constantly surprised in which direction the plot shifts every few chapters.

I‘m having the time of my life! Love the humour. The audio book is SO much fun, too.

I wish I could read the whole night. This is good!

I fear if I don’t stop now, I won’t get any sleep tonight.

I‘m already an emotional mess.
