Beautifully written and deeply moving.

Loved this book. So much of it is direct quotes from Henry and Fannies letters and journals. Very much focused on who they were as persons and their relationship with each other and their friends and family.

Amazing pictures of our unfathomable God and his heart for us. Also a vivid portrayal of the human condition and our tendency to replace relationship with religious form and tradition. Also how easily we lose sight of great is our redemption and try to “improve” our lot with our own faulty wisdom.
