Meh. The main character, Paul, is described as likable yet seems more wishy-washy. For "lite" summer reading this was okay and spurred me to explore images of Tuscany, but every time I pick up one of AMS's books I become annoyed with philosophy forced out of unnatural dialog.

I loved this book about friendship, art, loss. So beautiful that it made me weep.

Compelling and accessible.
