Just finished the ‘Barzillai - a Man for all Generations’ - a touching story of how an eighty year old woman is still making an impact on younger generations!

I hate that this is a true story. What a wicked injustice that her father was paid as a pastor because he was indigenous, therefore he had to get what jobs he could to feed his family which led to her being removed from her parents’ care.

Surprisingly this has quite a sophisticated vocabulary. For example ‘revel’.

I’m at the ‘aha’ moment when I think I’ve worked out who will be the victim.

Just finished ‘Not Alone’
- a true story - and feeling horrified someone would tell the mother of a sick child that their child would die :(

Finally Boots is learning how to use a toilet!!!! This is certainly a fantasy book with unique characters!

Lovely devotional message by Aleisha Cate. Her story of how she found community in an online prayer group during the pandemic shows how God can do great and unexpected things despite the circumstances.

Excited to be reading this! I particularly appreciated Alisa Hope’s thoughts in her devotional about not giving into fear - great reading if you are feeling troubled.

The lovely thing about these stories is that they are all hopeful!

I am so pleased to have a short story in this charity anthology to raise money for the victims of the Australian bushfire. For me it is the ultimate win-win - to be able to read and write and be helping others at the same time.

Very excited to have a short story published in this! How wonderful it is to be able to share how God protected me in a frightening situation of my own making.

So much that I relate to here in this reflective, raw story of choosing to live in and engage with a culture so different from her own.

Press close - This had me in tears. I could really identify with the image of a little lamb, pressing close during a time of danger.

Missional living as a mum - This was really cleverly framed. I really connected with this story.
