Good god I miss some characters and getting to hear from them again via holo is GREAT and literally almost made me cry

The chapter’s title is “shit escalates” and I’m loooving it!! Things are getting zestier now and shits going down. Reminding me of why I’m still wrapped up in this series WOO

The second book I read, the one that lives in my work bag and I read during solo breaks and also the one I download from the library. Tends to be ones I won’t be too pressed if they get a lil banged up in my backpack.
So good, so far! Characters seem interesting!! Someone gets murdered at the wedding. Really hope it continues being solid and doesn’t get super cliche

The more I read unfortunately the less I’m digging it. Kinda gross misogyny and I know it’s from a “bad guy” but still just nasty and I’m not here for it. The beginning was amazing and the characters incredible. This one character tho is really just killing the whole thing for me. Also frequently seen tropes for characters on the spectrum

The books are LONG and they are GREAT
The twists, the turns. I never really know where we’re going so I don’t even bother guessing

Why do I continue to read this series?

Great book, absolutely loving it so far. It pulls you in wicked fast and then you’re just along for the ride. I enjoy the way the narrating slowly releases more and more info and lore. It feels like it’s at the perfect speed. Can defo see why it was a Bram Stoker Award finalist!! Maybe I’ve gotta read more Bram Stoker Award books bc this is banging

Slow reading bc I mostly only read when I’m eating BUT I just love this series. I really damn do. The first of this trilogy was a LOT of world building and this one is poppin off with action. Devastating honestly. My feelings haven’t been hurt in a bit so I know something bad is gonna happen soon 🤗

I’m finding that the beginning of his trilogies are a bit slow which I guess checks out bc there’s a LOT of world building to do, even in the second trilogy
Loving the new characters tho!! When done well (which it is) thoroughly enjoy multiple POVS and storylines
