Not sure how I feel about this. I’m obsessed with the story. I’m obsessed with the FMC. I ABSOLUTELY ABHOR the MMC.

We started so strong. I was even teary eyed, but we are losing steam…

Only on chapter 1, I love the FMC having her own boot company and wanting to expand, but then she actually gets around people and now I hate her. What a stuck up self-centered bitch.

I had such high hopes for this book. But I’m gonna have to DNF it at 34% because the FMC literally does not care about her health. She has completely given up. She has not asked a family friend for help who is an amazing doctor. When this same doctor finds out, she is ill. He wants to do everything in his power to help her and she refuses his help.

Not sure if I am going to continue the series after this book. It was a disappointment. Which is big letdown because I loved all the previous installments.

This is pissing me off. At this point, there is legit no redemption available for Xander. And if the author the author keeps them together, I’ll have a huge problem with this.

I went into this book blind because all I needed to know was that Jason Clark was the narrator, but I am pleasantly surprised by how fucking good this book is

Almost done with my reread, and this book is definitely still not as good a the first one, and for sure sets things up, at this point I think this was the whole purpose of this second book, but I’m okay with that. I feel like we needed this in order to love forward in the story. It’s giving classic fantasy rather than romantasy.

Really great story. Reads like an intricately crafted tv show. I don’t know how this is gonna wrap up, but it feels like there should be a second book in the series.

The fact that I only have about 2 hours left of the audiobook is giving me serious anxiety, considering the next book in the series doesn’t come out until October of next year!
