Got bored for a few chapters but I’m back into it

Haven’t read a love story maybe ever? Def over a decade. Finally got this off of hold from the lib and I’m excited to keep going

I don’t love how the author keeps switching between past and present

Things are heating up a bit

I’ve ready the first 20 pages 3x now. Writing style is hard for me to get into.

Director of my org wants everyone to read this. Easy read. It feels like a children’s book/show with the life lessons. Good reminder to focus on the positive vs negative, but I don’t agree that you should be comparing yourself to others to have gratitude.

Dense pages

Fiction books confuse me. Gonna need to spark notes the first few chapters because I am confused who everyone is 🫶

I keep getting the characters mixed up and I hate that the rich people’s house is named ‘Self Reliance’

Not sure how I feel yet. I keep getting lost by the different characters.

This book is so mf good and disturbing at the same time. I can’t even imagine what it was like to be living through WWII.
