Holy shit holy shit holy shit, that prologue just grabbed me by the throat and sat me the hell down. My jaw is hanging to the floor, right now.

On chapter 2 and I am already yelling “you stupid bitch” 😭 Odessa, I’m gonna need you to not already start doing me this way.

I need an updated version of this book sooooo bad it’s unreal. This is so eye opening

Not this man asking if she’s okay LIKE HE CARES FOR HER.

“But that’s the thing about falling—you never think about the damage until you’re already halfway to the ground.” I’m done. Shattered. This quote just ended me.

“That human,” I say through my teeth, “is mine.”

I wasn’t ready y’all I am screaming

“One day, you’re going to set entire realms ablaze with the force of all that fury. And I want to be there to watch them burn.”

“Pretty name for a monster.”

I am devouring this book. It’s SOOO good, you guys!!

“I want eye contact the whole time you’re bleeding out.”
Sold. I love this demented man already.

I feel like we could have just started in the middle of the book… and skipped the first half. It seemed like filler. Like we could have done without all the bs. I’m not super connected to the characters yet. I swear, the last half of this book and book 2 better be life changing.
