I have figured out why I don't like Summer. She expects the prince to let her help him when he struggles but demands to do her own struggling without help. She doesn't understand the idea of a couple being a partnership. In other words, the author insists that women do everything on their own but men should be helped or dependent.

Still reading only for Valerian. Which is irritating because he's not around a lot.

I like Summer less and less with each page. The fact that she can't accept the Winter Prince for who he is is such hypocrisy. She thinks the Fae don't accept humans yet she can't see what she's doing to her human friends and her eternal mate. I'm reading only to see if Valerian gets a HAE. I realize that will take until the end of book three. Sigh.
