10/10 recommend the audio- her voice grates in the most accurate way (yet doesn't make me despise the function of my auditory cortex)

more nuanced than i expected! also, digging that it kinda reads like a mystery. i feel like the writing style is uniquely well suited to this story, and excited to see where it leads (but if it's to her being an actual tradwife and dreaming up her elaborate future im gonna scream, but i don't actually think that's gonna be the case). also loving that she's crazy and stupid, yet simultaneously astute & doing her best

sometimes i feel the author tries a bit too hard to be a contrarian or makes his point a lot more complicated than it needs to be, but this topic is fascinating, necessary, and relevant. slow going because i literally never sit down to read nonfiction, but really good. i'm gonna try to lock in a little more and finish this

okay i'm liking this well enough but it DOES unfortunately contain one of my biggest literary pet peeves- page breaks mid conversation. like why tf do we need a page break before she responds to his question? especially when kindle is telling me there's only 3 minutes left in the chapter?? stfu
