This is a giant step for me - reading a political book; but I like and admire Jon Sopel and have enjoyed his reports for the BBC News, so reading about his adventures with That Man should prove interesting.

OK this bit is wrong.

Describing a live feed video of a woman on a cot - hands and feet tied together and masked. Fine, Chase is checking her out (hot/cold/breathing/circulation) BUT FROM A DISTANCE AND VIA A VIDEO.

NO-ONE who knows about bondage would EVER leave someone alone like that without CONSTANT supervision. It just isn't done.

Neither is the fact I got the impression that the woman was in a LOCKED room!

Reading (again, after my eyes stopped watering) in context, I THINK it should read "I want to remove your pants"

By the end of Ch 7 and now Ch 19, I've had enough of the "sick" attitude towards what Chella, Smith, Bric & Quin are doing.

FFS it's a menage/poly relationship - make of that what you will! Chella is NOT a whore; Smith, Bric & Quin are not 'sick' - and if this comes up once more - I'm outta here!

Okay...can see why peeps are 'raving' about this book; but I'm questioning an awful lot (and I have to admit that I'm not particularly attracted to contemporary, psychological thrillers) and I really can see how stupid Louise is; and how David is an asshole; and Adele is manipulative (and am I reading this right??)
