God this book is boring. Probably a dnf for me

Ugh I just have such a hard time with most fiction. I find it tedious. Trying to push through.

Disappointed to learn that AI was used for the audiobook.
Really crazy to read about her substance use disorder yet she doesnt seem to have the self awareness to explore the maybe she’s also a sex and love addict? She seems to play the victim with her addiction and doesn’t really seem to take any accountability for her shitty actions and behavior.
I’m in it now so I’m gonna keep pushing through.

Man, the story started out strong and was so bizarre and sensory-overload, but now I’m bored as hell.

Crass and uncomfortable to read. Disjointed main character who speaks as though she’s 11years old or with the insight of a 40 year old. Painful- thankfully this is short so I’ll be done with it soon.

God this book is brutal. Maybe the most gruesome account of abuse and negligence I’ve ever heard in such detail. Excellent book- but I need to take breaks for deep breaths.

Damn. On page 12 and triggered and crying already. Maybe relate too much to this one.

I love Irvine Welsh novels but god they’re slow-going trying to get through the phonetically written Scottish accents. I’m finding that I’m starting to think in a Scottish accent after a few books.

Superficial and basic. Sigh.
