ack. Heroine's been kidnapped, she manages to free herself but the approaching Humvee is not friendly. The military base listening on her phone hears bullets and grunts and swearing, then communication is cut off.
Now I have to put the book down and go to work for the next 9 hours. Real life intrudes.
