Too many inconsistencies, talking about mining helium from Saturn when they've got the lumes for power (or so they'd said before) but suddenly lumes are just for light.

I had to check this wasn't a collaboration as it reads as if two authors are working on this at the same time without talking to each other (see the one by Niven and ... About a sun as a spaceship)

Continued:Now... I can accept this as they talk about massive velocities if the train car were to be ejected into space... 


Until I got thinking further... Say 8000 km/s tangential velocity what would the centripetal force actually be? A quick Google and calculation later give around 420 Newton's... Around 42 times the 'gravity' of earth at the rim of the bowl.... Ouch...

Just got to the bit where they are 'outside' the bowl and the rotation of the bowl is mentioned as taking 32 hours, so it takes a bit longer for the stars to move than on earth .... But earth is a planet, spinning on its access, not the edge of a bowl completing a compete *orbit* of it's sun in 32 hours
So a bit of calculation, assuming the bowl is 1au in radius gives a tangential velocity of 7700+ kilometres per sec

Good... But blooper #1 - 20 AU is more like 166 light minutes than 400... Unless this points to either huge changes in the measurement of time in revelation space universe, or another definition of AU...

Like the idea of clones sharing memories, and of June Wing's alternate bodies, but disappointed that she didn't have backups of her memories which could be implanted in a clone (á la Chiku) - that would be DR for a human...

Hmmm.. Tantors... close to Human intelligence level Elephants - capable of coomunicating/talking with humes...

Interesting... I'm sure I've come across some of the concepts here, before.... But then again, there's a chance that this isn't my first read of this.... Though I really don't think I have....l
