E.M. Prazeman is reading The Meditations of Marcus Aurelius

I loved so much about this work. I found it insightful and thought-provoking. However I struggled with this particular translation. At least I think that it was problems with the translation. There were also some typos making me wonder exactly how this translation ended up for sale on Amazon and if I might have found a better translation if I spent some time looking.

E.M. Prazeman is reading Lord of the Abbey (Lords of Avalon #1)

There is so much to like about this book, but I didn't love it. I got the feeling that the author meant to write a slow burn historical romance with lots of story, but unfortunately, at least for me, the main relationship didn't have a lot of chemistry and the mystery is mostly solved so I'm just waiting for the characters to catch up. I'm marking it as read because I think this will end up being a DNF.

E.M. Prazeman is 42% done with Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood

Although I'm enjoying the read, I'm only just now starting to feel a sense of wanting to know what happens next. Divine prose got me this far. Now the story is emerging and I'm starting to understand why this book is special.
