I started reading this last yr and didn't finish because of my schedule...glad to have picked it back up again because I'm getting into it now. Dallas is stuck in a time loop and experiencing some Final Destination type premonition. Very interesting.

Wait, Charlotte Mason had something to do with this book?? I worry of its integrity now. Mason was one of what Zora called “Negrotarians,” or rich white people who financed the careers of black artists. The problem I have with Charlotte’s involvement is that she was a racist who controlled Zora’s work as she did Langston Hughes. Excerpt: “As mason was protective of Hurston’s professional interests.” Yea, I bet.
