I feel like I have read this before, but I think it's her other books speaking over what I am reading. Taking me a long time, struggling to like the characters

Lots is happening, but I am distracted by the cheesy music references and the info dumps of lore. Will continue, but finding it irritating

enjoying this so far, but it is taking me a long time to read.

A mixed, but always interesting selection of stories, some set in worlds I have already encountered, others unique.
All featured interesting situations and characters, often women who don't behave as they are supposed to, with unpredictable results.
I love the author's world building and feisty heroines. The stories involving woods and fairytale appeal to me the most.

I am quite familiar with Arthurian legend and tales of Avalon. Enjoying this retelling so far, but not sure what it is adding.
