simple, bland writing style and not particularly connecting to the characters but i’m intrigued to keep reading for the outcome

started off with promising tension and atmosphere but as soon as the dialogue kicked in it feels so clunky

depression and bleakness and misery

storming of the dragonpit is depressing as hell

a few tears slipped out for the queen that should’ve been brave princess rhenys and her dragon meleys. fly high ladies

longest chapter ever…. alysanne nooooooo please come back your descendants are in great peril

opened up this book to the author biography being an immediate gag fest WDYM lisa tuttle’s first novel was co-written with grrm!

moment of straight romance at the end is scarier to me than any of the horror
