this book just pulled one of the most bonkers (real life) twists that cemented the story in a time and place that made me literally reread the page THREE times because i thought i was hallucinating such a bonkers choice.

okay, so i think your queers and old queers is always been tough. i’ve had a lot of older gay men in my life and to be honest, it’s always turned out bad. so the dread i am feeling for our main guy in this book is DREAD. i hope everybody isn’t awful and gross and mean to each other by the end, buuuuut idkkkkkkkk

hot take; this is a little late in a romance for having the first 🔥🔥 scene. i mean we come to the alter of romance for the 🔥🔥. the challenge of writing a romance has been accepted by me.

opfh this one is a bit of a sluggish one, as violent and bonkers as it is. i think i can see it picking up, im praying it picks up.

so i watched Girls when it was first airing but pop-culture context of it all is ASTOUNDING. finally a memoir that is written by a millennial that FEELS like it’s written by a millennial.

okay this kinda bangs. it is nothing what i expected as the follow up to ‘all the sinners bleed’ but im curious and having fun (and isn’t that what life is all about??)

listening to the audiobook is just so damn special. taking my sweet ass time (sorry not sorry) and like i love that Our Town subplot so much, just stunning lil touches constantly. constantly surprising. you better read this however you can.

holy shit this thing is living up to the HYPE! a pal told me the main character wasn’t likeable and i’m here to say, i ain’t mad at her? like go off our delulu kween.

my god this book is equally terrifying and upsetting. but i’m a fan of any character called Gloria and things are ramping up. WAAAADING IN THE WATER!!

i cannot believe i have waited this long to read this staggering masterpiece. i mean THE PROSE!!!!
