Re-reading this because I already miss Shane and Ilya

Listening to the audiobook this time!

Honestly might DNF (again)…. I feel like everything is just so overly dramatic and I can’t connect with the characters (nor do I care about what happens to them).

We’ve learned absolutely nothing about any of the characters (other than FMC) so far. FMC also keeps going against her instincts and putting herself in danger. Also, why doesn’t her room have a lock? She’s in danger around the wolves, yet any one can just walk in? Makes no sense at all.

I over half way through the book and nothing has happened… just the FMC working in the kitchens and interacting with the two MMCs, yet we’ve learned absolutely nothing about anything? It’s been a bit repetitive. I’ve lost count of how many times Callum says he won’t hurt the FMC, like I think we get it now. FMC also goes against her instincts constantly which is annoying.

It’s alright so far…. I’m not sure how I feel about the FMC. She is a bit indecisive. And there is something about the writing that isn’t allowing me to fully be connected or immersed in the story.

I DNF this book when it was first released, but I’m willing to give it another shot. Please don’t disappoint me 😩

Not sure how I feel about this book so far. A bit slow and super wordy/long paragraphs of just setting and object descriptions. I feel like it could have been edited more or cut down.

I want to finish this book but I’m so confused with what’s going on 😩 I also feel like the pacing is off too, and there are so many slow parts

I’m normally not a fan of comedic-type banter/thoughts/dialogue, but I make an exception for Ali Hazelwood because I KNOW what to expect when I read her books. Although, I can do without the 36 yo MMC using cringey terms for name-calling though 😅
