It feels like an editor said to cut a bunch of scenes (to get to the action quicker maybe?), but the content of the interesting scenes was important, so now we get summaries of the scenes we didn’t get instead… Then, there are statements of things already implied by actions and things in the sentences before. It’s like an editor said, “You need to spell it out for the reader directly.” Who was the editor??
