I really enjoyed the last couple chapters the most. It was so hard even picking a favorite choice in this selection but I enjoyed the final outcome. Just as I thought she made a choice, it changed for the best and she made a move that should improve the future of her people as well that I didn’t see coming.

There have been a couple developments that have made this harder to put down the further into the story I get.

After the ending of the last book, I had to at least read the 1st chapter before going to bed to figure out some ounce of what happened. Multiple changes and wondering more what’s going to happen to her mother right now. Also not surprised at which characters survived the most recent elimination. Curious also to see if the public will see her more human side soon than the strong front she puts on for appearances

Okay she is starting to grow on me a bit. She is slowly becoming a little more self aware as she learns how people think of her and also being introduced to things that poke at the walls she has built around herself. It’s taking her time to figure out some of the feelings being triggered but she seems scared of letting anyone in. I’m enjoying seeing how the boys are with her, such as Kile, Henri, & Hale.

So I’ve been having a harder time getting into this book. It’s from the view of the daughter and I’m not currently impressed with her. There are parts I find annoying. I’m really hoping that going through the selection helps open her eyes and helps her mature a bit because right now she seems a bit like a spoiled self centered brat. Though I imagine her position has put a bubble around her reality.

Banjo knows the majority of tricks/tasks in this book. However there are some that are just for fun that we haven’t learned yet. So likely to play around with those at some point.

Still flip this open off and on for reminders but have studied it all.

There are parts I like and dislike about the ending. However I’m glad the country will be able to see positive changes. Poor Queen Amberly though.

Finally figuring out more about the rebels!

Wow it’s rare I finish a book in one day. Can I just say I’m really not a fan of the king in this book. I am so mixed on my opinion of the prince though. I go back and forth on happy hopeful feels and then anger with some of his other choices. I like the main character and her will to stand up for what she believes in an unfair world. I also feel for her doubts and how human it is to fear and question things…

Couldn’t sleep. Finished the first book and started this one. Was good until chapter 10 which I suspected something was going on with a certain character but never expected what would happen to her the way it did. Very dramatic response that reminds us how very far removed we are from modern day concepts in this book. Poor girl.

I’m enjoying how real she is with her mixes of feelings. I’m really happy to see her come to realize she needs to figure out how she feels and what she wants outside of what anyone else wants of and for her.It’s been fun watching her evolve and curious to see where things lead and what she will choose in the end and for what reasons. I greatly enjoyed the humor and curious to see what happens in other areas too

I’m enjoying the interactions she has, particularly with the prince. Some humor is sprinkled throughout so far that has made me giggle a few times.

I had been skimming this book for what I needed in the beginning but I finally decided to read it in its entirety. I like how it takes simple commands and explains how to level them up in difficulty. For those with disabilities who may think they cannot teach their own companion, this gives amazing tips on how they still can whether it's on their own or with assistance.

Focus making it too difficult to read today though I keep trying. Penn may be the evil leader of the group but Lexi is definetly as ad or worse than Penn. I'd be afraid to cross her without Penn to keep her under control.

Skipping through the book for tips on spicific tricks and using it as a guideline to start from on some things. I like that it gives ideas for hand signals. I don't always do the training exactly like the book because I feel my dog out for what works for him. I lean towards clicking and positive encouragement or shaping.

I really dislike Penn even more now. How could she hurt her own sister like that?

Every time I try to pick this book back up to read, I just can't seem to find the focus... So what should be a quick read is taking me much much longer to get into than it should.

There were off & on moments in this series where I wasn't sure if I would keep reading it but it managed to keep me reading to the end. I really like the last book the best. I think it speaks of important truths we should know but may at times forget.
The easiest road is not always the best route. I feel this book really captures why and explains things beautifully in the end.
