D: now that I’m not as swept up in it the miscommunication trope was painful and pointless.. did at no point she google anything?! Hmmmm.. still loved the way the characters are sculpted. It’s still my lesbian all the colors of the dark <3

Omfg I can’t 😭 she got the fan mails 😭 this is so well written. This is what wild dark shores lacked I think. Characters that are insanely lived in and loved and were loved. And the insane chemistry that make the audience root for them. This book is so heartbreaking and the writing is so tender. This hits like all the colors of the dark for me T_T kids that love each other but can’t be together T_T

I was mislead! The book tracks the musical p closely!

Intrigued by acquaintance daughter who’s writing a Christine POV of the original POTO, which is apparently very different from the musical.

The people in these stories are all insane lol. Wait. Tutte le persone nelle storie sono pazzi!

I either don’t read this and feel fomo or read this and freak out that once I finish this series there’s no more books by Carlos Ruiz zafon and I stop. Currently getting into the thick of it again. I love this world.

The plot thins…

The Scottish tragedy… man this is so tragic… fuck this man’s ops man 😭 but now that I’ve read the book, the musical was adapted perfectly. It caught the main themes so spot on. The intro is so so so much more poignant now too. Would they know what you overcame? Would they know you rewrote the game? And Eliza’s last song about time. Dude 😭 a more perfect musical absolutely does not exist. I sad

It’s almost hard to listen to now, Jefferson is such an ass. I went to listen to the Hamilton soundtrack instead and it made me sadder. Maybe I’m just extra salty about Jefferson atm because the American exceptionalism/catering to popular exceptionalism he started is also what got us to where we are now…

I don’t think the characters are likeable lol. This is not year 8 dramione fic vibes after all. And I guess I’m not super into the philosophy angle? It’s ok, not my fav of hers though.

It’s a woke agenda climate change/animal protection book!!! I love the setting very much. The description is so vivid. Also gonna steal “everything is gonna either burn drown or die” lol. Felt very seen in this climate nihilism. Yes super depressing.
