I’m loving this book! It’s so tense and suspenseful and evil-plotty and arghhhh!

This is going to be a five star read!

It’s been over a decade since I’ve read a bio consisting of only letters. I should do so more often. I’m really enjoying it so far.

It’s picking up.

What are these names? Fox, Woolf, Bird? I’m not loving the name choices unless they have a deeper meaning than just people getting together named like animals. It hasn’t hooked me yet, either. Oh well.

I studied English Lit. Mark is the dumbest professor ever. No. Just no. Screw him and his dumb behind.

The first paragraph was probably the most unique, maybe even the best paragraph I’ve ever read. Which is wild! The shifts in narration needed some getting used to, but now it’s just so creative. And I actually laughed out loud a couple of times. Very good start!

What?!? My jaw dropped! Whoa!

I’m intrigued. The writing is engaging. Good start.

I’m THIS close to not finishing this book. “Animal.”

There is just something about Ira Levin’s writing. The way he evokes emotions in me so quickly. He’s amazing.

Never mind. It’s actually going into the fantastical. Meh.

After a long time, I’ve finally made it through that damn dream sequence! And then reading went smoothly from here. It’s getting over the top but not too over the top to be completely unrealistic. Norman is just crazy!

A third in I still don’t know what to think of it. I don’t really feel the protagonist. The unlikeable family members are doing their job of being unlikeable family members. If the spoiler i saw was correct, the half-sister is involved in the murders.

Chapter 43 was so gruesome. Chapter 44 broke me.

I had a feeling chapter 23 would be eventful. Boy, was I right. I’ve bookmarked the first two pages because they read so beautifully. And the commander has made his move. Dang, it’s gonna get more complicated.

That disgusting ceremony. Repulsive on screen as it was to read it. The show captured the entire revulsion really well. I’m impressed. So much ick.

It took a bit more than one third to finally become interesting because not a single character was appealing. I liked none of them before they were awarded more depth in the second third. It’s picked up quite a bit and now it looks like the protagonist could have been the bad guy all along. The connections would have only made sense like this.
