I can't do more than a chapter at a time without falling asleep. I keep trying but this might end up being a dnf.

And another one. Times like these are when it is good to read the kindle rather than listen, because I would be able to highlight all these crazy things rather than typing them out. She didn't want to come off as desperate but her biological clock was ticking, loudly" I am about ready to return this, which is saying a lot since I love this series and both spin off series

Oh hell no... right after the comment about men only being interested in women who can make them a good meal, it keeping them happy, and old fashion values being back in, we get to this gem, "Her new life was all about landing the right guy, getting married, and having a family." I don't know about others, but I prefer my fun cozys without a side of preachiness and judginess.

I'm only on chapter two, but this is giving sexist and tradwife vibes and I am cringing. I just heard, "She couldn't imagine a man being interested in a woman who didn't at least know the basics of how to put a meal together." Gross.

I borrowed the audiobook from the library but I couldn't get into it with the narrator. He was too monotone and hard to pay attention to. Thankfully, I found that the books have been re-done. There is a version by a female narrator whose voice was much easier for me to listen to so I am excited to try that one. Once I get that version I will try the book again.

I am struggling to get into this so I am going to borrow it from the library again when I am ready to give it another try. I think it is a case of it's not you, it's me. I just wasn't in the mood for this type of book.

That is pretty genius marketing for the author to use her cake business' phone number as the main character's phone number. Very creative.

Finished the 4th & final book of this anthology. It isn't about a Duke, but rather a man named Duke. This was my least favorite book of the anthology but the ending was really cute.

The 3rd book in this collection is my favorite so far. I really liked it. I want more though. Book 4 starts at 09:06:49.

Book 2 is done. 3 stars for that. Felt pretty modern for being historical romance. Book 3 starts at 06:00:30 or chapter 27.

Book 1 in this compilation was good. I really enjoyed it! 4.5 stars. Book 2 starts at 02:14:13 or chapter 16.

I am not enjoying this book but I am committed at this point. Powering through.

Well dang...this book has some major spoilers for two crossover books. The book where Mencheres meets Kira and the book where Spade and Denise get together. I wish I would have known to read those books first. Now I'm bummed. It won't be the same now when I do read them.

I am really liking this book. It might be my favorite of the series so far.

I'm loving this book so far.

This is the second book in a row with this series where the narrator has made careless errors, likely rushing, using incorrect words or names. This time she just referred to a Director as a Doctor.

This book provides a recap at the beginning.

I like the movie better.

I'm laughing so hard that I had to rewind the same part 3 times and finally just pause it to finish laughing.

I'm enjoying this audiobook even more than the 1st one. This one has me cracking up repeatedly.
