Almighty Zeus, now he's concentrated on his hemorrhoid.

It's going too slow. Well at this point the stories contain far less women "jumping and farting during sex", and still it's pathetic and weak writing and I'm pretty bored.

It's still as bad as it can get.

Part 3 on "The Shadow of the Pale Horse". Well, it's still a rough unedited draft and the roughest part is a little toy I like to use - iwl.me, a site telling who you write like, said the style was like that of Stephenie Meyer. I was a bit insulted, of course. But well - it's better to know beforehand, on the rough draft. I promise, the final result will be as far from Meyer's style as possible :D

Part 2 on "The Shadow of the Pale Horse". So I decided to work on the original material and wrote a quick translation into English - and I found out the themes and the characters, underdeveloped in the original, started to open up, and become more alive. So while the original was 1100 words, the first English draft expanded it to 2000 words, and reads much better.

Ok, part 1 - how my upcoming short story - "The Shadow of the Pale Horse" - came to be. I wrote a quick draft for another "Havaqatsu" literary contest - just a textbook magical realism story with autobiographical elements blended in it. Wasn't really inspired at the time, so the story turned out to be a bit hollow and message-less.

I sent my short story "The Nightingale" to Glimmer Train, the notification on my mail said I might wait up to 16 weeks. Week 1 has started (yep, I'm gonna count them).

This is my second submission to a literary magazine, the first being Kenyon Review (which refused my manuscript).

Up to this point, Bukowski really sucks at writing short stories and I'm on the verge of throwing the book to hell without the intention to return to it. Ever.
